Face painting has been about since Ancient times, used for hunting, religious reasons, and military reasons (such as camouflage and membership in a military unit) now it is mostly used for FUN!
Children and adolescents (and some adults) love to be transformed into someone else whether it’s an animal, TV character or something scary.... Of course there is no limit with face painting. Arm designs, cheeks or full face designs are the recipe to a happy child at any party or fun day!
It also keeps them entertained for a while as they watch their friends being painted, but then I don’t think I need to sell you the idea we all love a great face paint!!
Children can design their own faces, (the pink and purple witch for instance was to the models requirements including the red nose!).
So sky’s the limit! There are plenty of designs in books to chose from and some I have designed or painted myself and if children want a specific character as long as I have a picture I can work it out as I go along!
